Johnson Controls named to CDP 2024 Supplier Engagement Assessment A-List for climate leadership

The CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment A-List recognizes companies that demonstrate best-in-class performance in supplier engagement, governance, targets, and Scope 3 emissions management. Johnson Controls was among the top 450 companies selected from over 23,000 evaluated globally.

Sustainability leadership in action

Johnson Controls’ inclusion on the A-List builds on the company’s strong sustainability performance, as detailed in its 2025 Sustainability Report:

  • 48% reduction in absolute emissions across operations since 2017, progressing toward a 55% reduction target by 2030.
  • 20% reduction in Scope 3 emissions from the use of sold products since 2017, ahead of our 16% target by 2030.
  • 56% of global electricity now met or matched by renewable sources.
  • 88% of 2024 R&D investment focused on climate-related innovation, surpassing the 75% goal.
  • Sustainability now accounts for 21% of supplier scorecards, placing it on par with cost, quality, and delivery.
