What is Renew America’s Schools?
The Renew America’s School grant is a federal program, approved by the Department of Energy to facilitate substantial additional investment, that intends to prioritize schools with high needs, minimize administrative burden, and build enduring capacity in local educational agencies (LEAs) and the states to maximize impact equity and efficiency. From keeping schools open to investing in infrastructure, this fund provides financial assistance for a variety of necessary projects to school districts across the country. The program is available for K-12 institutions to apply to until April 21, 2023. Required concept papers are due by January 26, 2023, so contact us now to help confirm you can access the support you need.

- Energy improvements that reduce energy costs, increase energy efficiency, and lead to improvements in health, including indoor air quality.
- Repairs, renovations, installations to facility envelope, HVAC, lighting system, power system, controls, and more.
- Projects that reduce energy consumption by transitioning to renewable or efficient infrastructure.
- Note, projects that leverage private sector investment through energy-related performance contracting are encouraged!
