Meeting the Growing Challenges of the Marine and Navy Industry

Our innovative Marine and Navy Security solutions protect over 80 percent of the vessels at sea, and we are particularly proud of our long working partnership with the naval sector. Having developed fire, security, life safety and HVAC/R solutions to meet the specific and often unique requirements on vessels such as naval ships, cruise liners, passenger ferries, container vessels and tankers, Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO), and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) vessels, we are now heavily focused on protecting the next and future generations of naval and cruise ships.

Given the scale as well as the various types of threats, security challenges in the Marine and Navy sector are diverse. The movement of passengers and cargo by ship has been one of the most frequently targeted sectors, for both terrorists and organized crime. Safety of passengers and the protection of freight are paramount and the ability to create co-ordinate responses to incidents is critical.

Johnson Controls are uniquely positioned to be able to offer comprehensive and integrated solutions for a wide range of proven products and systems including video surveillance and security systems, fire detection (Including carbon monoxide, smoke and flame detection), sprinklers and gaseous extinguishing solutions, public address and voice evacuation systems, clean air monitoring systems, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and refrigeration solutions.

We are committed to delivering world-class service, reliability, and operational performance.

Ensuring that your cargo reaches port safely

Johnson Controls knows that maintaining the quality of goods while they are onboard a vessel is critically important. for example, the most important single factor affecting the quality of fish is the post-catch refrigeration and temperature control processes. Our solutions for the fishery industry build on the market's most powerful compressor series and the highest level of automation. With a selection of powerful and efficient compressors, frequency converter drives that optimise operational cost, and heat exchangers designed with welded connection between titanium tubs and tube plates to ensure longevity despite sea water exposure, Johnson Controls provides lifetime performance.

With advanced CO2 freezing plants and refrigerated sea water plants available, Johnson Controls offers high performance and efficient costs. Whether you are after a high freezing capacity for limited floor space, want to minimise crew attendance to equipment, use natural environmentally safe refrigerant, or minimise operating costs, our experts can offer you the right solutions.

Whatever your cargo, Johnson Controls can offer a solution to keep your valuable assets safe and in perfect condition while they are at sea.
