Johnson Controls and Lincoln Tech Introduce Tech and Teach Days
We are continuing our workforce development partnership with Lincoln Tech with the introduction of Tech & Teach Days on campuses where our equipment is installed. The Teach & Tech Days include hands-on lab exercises and one-on-one interaction between students and a Johnson Controls representative. During the lab exercise, students are walked through programming the Simplex 4007 Series Fire Panel or Security Panel, a fire alarm system for small to mid-sized buildings.
Not only do Tech & Teach Days enhance the learning opportunities for students, but they also help our representatives become more familiar with their local Lincoln Tech campus to help identify the talented technicians in class for future roles at Johnson Controls. At the same time, students gain real networking experience and make connections that often materialize into career opportunities.

Since 2018, Johnson Controls and Lincoln Tech have worked together to identify, train and hire new talent. Johnson Controls has donated fire and security equipment to 10 Lincoln Tech classrooms across the country to educate students on the technology used in the field today. With technicians in high demand, Johnson Controls and Lincoln Tech are helping to bridge the skills gap and build the technical workforce of the future.
As a result of the partnership, more than 100 Lincoln Tech graduates are now employed by Johnson Controls branches across the U.S. Learn more about the partnership here.
