We heard our customers loud and clear – now more than ever, they need their building environments to be as connected as they are safe and secure. To best protect occupants from the unexpected, they require an advanced level of operational insight that can only come from digital, data-driven solutions.

That’s why I’m excited to announce the launch of Johnson Controls Connected Fire Panels offering, part of a suite of connected fire safety services and technologies powered by OpenBlue. These solutions, combined with our technicians’ extensive industry knowledge and training, drive the outcomes that matter most, including improved asset performance and reliability, code compliance and advanced operational efficiency of customers’ fire and life-safety systems.

Our Connected Fire Panels offering provides enables customers to have one single portal to proactively check the system health of every connected 4007ES, 4010ES and 4100ES Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP). Facility managers gain real-time insight into their systems’ health and performance even when offsite through cloud-based remote visibility and supplemental annunciation, with mobile push notifications instantly alerting users to an alarm or trouble condition. Whether through a smartphone while commuting or a laptop while working from home, facility managers can trust that they have access to their building’s systems. This means businesses and organizations can keep facilities minimally occupied to remain compliant with social distancing guidelines without sacrificing fire safety.

At Johnson Controls, we know that the blueprint of the future lies in highly connected, safe and healthy building environments. By integrating FACPs onto a single interface and turning valuable facility data into powerful insights, the Connected Fire Panels offering makes this vision a reality.

By leveraging Johnson Controls Connected Fire Panels, customers also gain access to historical fire panel event logs for incident investigation, expert remote service technicians and remote cybersecurity testing. Additional key features include:

  • Real-time Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) events notification (Fire, Priority 2, Supervisory & Troubles (including Carbon Monoxide detection))
  • Added benefit of mobility through email and app notifications
  • View and download almost dirty smoke detector and status reports at your convenience
  • One portal, one view of every connected FACP

Johnson Controls Connected Fire Panels creates powerful connectivity within multi-building campuses such as universities, hospitals and manufacturing facilities. For example, consider an urban college campus spread throughout a major city; the moment a fire alarm in a building is activated, a facility manager will receive a mobile alert no matter where on campus – or off campus – they are located. Rather than wasting time rushing to the facility, they can instantly share all information with the team members closest to the situation, allowing for a speedy response. This same remote capability enables enhanced asset health monitoring throughout the campus, ensuring every facility’s fire systems are fully operational at all times, from dormitories to science laboratories.

Getting started is simple, with easy installation processes that can be done with minimal IT involvement. Connected Fire Panels enable customers to have one single portal to proactively check the system health of every connected 4007ES, 4010ES and 4100ES Fire Alarm Control Panel. This solution empowers customers to develop, run and manage operational applications without needing to build and maintain any additional infrastructure, mitigating risk and saving valuable time and resources in the process.

At Johnson Controls, we know that the blueprint of the future lies in highly connected, safe and healthy building environments. By integrating FACPs onto a single interface and turning valuable facility data into powerful insights, the Connected Fire Panels offering makes this vision a reality. We’re proud to give our customers and their occupants the peace of mind that their health and wellbeing are protected, no matter what.
