Johnson Controls Workforce Development Program Manager Alison Neuman joined Jennifer Hash, President of Lincoln Tech’s Denver, CO campus, and Morgan Woodtke, Lincoln Tech Graduate and Diesel Technician, to talk about the various ways women can enter this collaborative and innovative industry.

The skilled trades are for everyone. I agree that stereotypically we would say or in the past it's a male dominated career. But being a technician in the field is a phenomenal opportunity for both men and women.

— Johnson Controls Workforce Development Program Manager, Alison Neuman

Johnson Controls and Lincoln Tech partnered in 2018 to join forces in providing technical skills in HVAC, electrical, fire and security to students through hands-on, customized training and have since seen over 300 Lincoln Tech graduates hired at Johnson Controls.

Most recently, the two organizations announced the launch of the Johnson Controls Academy, a six-week intensive training program focused on developing the next generation of building technicians. Through continued investments in vocational programs, training labs and trade education, Johnson Controls is doing its part to fill the gaps in the skilled trades workforce.
