Johnson Controls Employees Achieve Record-Breaking Volunteer Hours During Global Volunteer Month

In June, Johnson Controls held its first-ever Global Volunteer Month, an initiative focused on creating healthier, smarter and more sustainable communities through volunteerism. Guided by its commitment to improving communities where its employees live, work and play, Johnson Controls challenged employees to complete 10,000 volunteer hours during the month-long campaign to accelerate progress on reaching the company goal of tracking 2 million total employee volunteer hours by 2025.

In response to this call-to-action, more than 2,400 employees across 34 countries stepped up to make a difference. Together, they recorded an impressive 21,217 total volunteer hours—setting a Johnson Controls record for the most volunteer hours ever recorded in a single campaign.

Through its global volunteer program, Johnson Controls makes a donation on behalf of employees when they volunteer. The Global Volunteer Month resulted in a substantial contribution of more than $140,000 USD to charities across the globe.
