Johnson Controls recently commissioned Forrester Consulting to evaluate the state of smart buildings. For this report, Forrester focused on a subset of 237 smart building decision-makers at K-12 schools and higher education campuses 

91% of surveyed K-12 leaders and 89% of surveyed higher education leaders say their building systems are not fully integrated. This lack of integrated data and insight is causing reduced efficiencies, increased regulatory penalties, and decreased student retention.
