Marine Services
Global Reach and Local Presence
Johnson Controls Marine Services operates through our own or carefully selected business entities located around the world, ensuring a global reach with local partners you know and trust—essential for marine customers who need on-the-spot assistance while their vessels are in service. With an installed base consisting of about 10,000 vessels, our customer base includes more than 20 percent of all larger ocean-going vessels.
True 24/7 Experienced Technical Support
Our global marine service and parts network supplies customers with full 24-hour, 7-days-a-week technical support for Johnson Controls marine plants and equipment including Sabroe, Stal, YORK, Gram, and Frick compressors. We provide intelligent preventive maintenance to ensure that operational efficiency remains at a maximum throughout the working life of the system. This also increases safety and minimizes downtime. Our marine services staff are experts in their field, supported by experienced HVAC and refrigeration marine engineers, in dealing with all aspects of services such as replacement of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, refrigerant conversions, and energy efficiency upgrades.
Market Leading Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning for Navy Vessels
Johnson Controls is dedicated to the supply of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems for use on all types of Navy vessels. All equipment supplied by Navy Systems is designed, manufactured, tested, and installed to meet the very specific demands of customers working in this challenging and unique environment. We apply our extensive experience of shipboard air conditioning and refrigeration systems to ensure that knowledge-based solutions are applied to naval vessels of all kinds, from submarines to aircraft carriers. We can design and/or manufacture equipment to meet the stringent naval requirements of any application.
Whether it is a bespoke design to meet exacting criteria demanded by a submarine, or a commercial off-the-shelf product more suited to a fleet auxiliary vessel, all equipment is manufactured to the highest quality standards. Rest assured that our global support infrastructure ensures that vessels are kept operational wherever they may be deployed. We can design or retrofit systems and install, service, and repair equipment anywhere in the world.
Specialist Refrigeration Solutions
Johnson Controls Marine knows that the most important single factor affecting the quality of fish is the post-catch refrigeration and temperature control processes. Our solutions for the fishery industry build on the market's most powerful compressor series and the highest level of automation. With a selection of powerful and efficient compressors, frequency converter drives that optimise operational cost, and heat exchangers designed with welded connection between titanium tubs and tube plates to ensure longevity despite sea water exposure, Johnson Controls provides lifetime performance.
With advanced CO² freezing plants and refrigerated sea water plants available, Johnson Controls offers high performance and efficient costs. Whether you are after a high freezing capacity for limited floor space, want to minimise crew attendance to equipment, use natural environmentally safe refrigerant, or minimise operating costs, our experts can offer you the right solutions.
Specialised HVAC/R Service Capabilities
With a common global range of HVAC/R products, user-friendly PLC-based controls, and a global network of highly-skilled marine service technicians available 24/7, Johnson Controls offers a unique combination of high reliability and deep system knowledge to our marine customers. Through key partnerships and strategically located experts around the world, we ensure that our customers have access to the best HVAC/R knowledge in the industry, providing quick repairs with less downtime and ensuring that our marine service is among the best in the market when it comes to reliability, life cycle costs, and quality.
How We Can Help With Your HVAC Requirements
Johnson Controls are ageing asset specialists, holding contracts for many energy assets which are over 20 years old.
Our bespoke roadmaps mean we work with you from day one to ensure a comprehensive and personalised project is delivered to you to help you meet your deliverables in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. All our engineers are Refcom accredited and F-gas certified to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality.
Breakdown Callouts
Breakdowns of ventilation and refrigeration systems can affect safety compliance, revenue and workforce morale. While Johnson Controls strives to maximise reliability of systems through proactive maintenance, we also retain the flexibility to respond quickly to breakdowns when they do occur.
F-gas Servicing and Management
With an international maintenance and repair network in place for refrigeration systems of all sizes and complexity, we are well placed to manage your F-gas systems and recording. We can offer routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, HCFC phaseout, F-gas recording and compliance audits, and we also offer guidance on F-gas legislation updates to all operators. Our organisation is accredited by REFCOM, and all engineers are qualifed to current UK standards to work with refrigerants.
Door Services
Johnson Controls can arrange maintenance and repair visits using specialist engineers for your external boundary doors offshore. We can also align this service with TR Integrity testing to reduce costs and bed-space requirements offshore.
Reinstatement and Recommissioning
When it’s time to take a ventilation system, module or even an entire rig out of dormancy ready for use, we can prepare the HVAC for operation.
