New Tyco Series TY-B and TY-FRB Poly-Stainless Sprinklers

Johnson Controls announces new Tyco® Series TY-B and TY-FRB Poly-Stainless Sprinklers
Corrosion-resistant sprinklers designed for use in commercial occupancies

MILWAUKEE – (Oct. 15, 2018) – Johnson Controls announces its new Tyco® Series TY-B and TY-FRB Poly-Stainless Sprinklers intended for commercial applications where corrosive conditions may exist. The TY-B has a 5 mm diameter heat-sensitive glass bulb rated standard response, while the TY-FRB has a 3 mm diameter heated-sensitive glass bulb rated quick response.

The corrosion-resistant Poly-Stainless Sprinklers are standard coverage sprinklers and available in in both upright and pendent orientations in either 5.6 or 8.0 K-factor.

All Poly-Stainless Sprinkler models have passed the standard corrosion tests of the applicable approval agencies; however, the effects of ambient temperature, concentration of chemicals and gas/chemical velocity should be considered, at a minimum, along with the corrosive nature of the chemical(s) to which the sprinklers will be exposed.
