OPENBLUE COMPANION PRIVACY NOTICE

PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APP ON YOUR DEVICE

This Privacy Notice applies to your use of OPENBLUE COMPANION app (the “App”).

The App is provided to you by Johnson Controls (“Johnson”, “us”, or “we”) who will act as the data controller of your personal information. This Privacy Notice and Johnson Controls Privacy Notice applies to your use of the App and sets out the basis on which any personal information collected from you, or that you provide, will be processed. Questions regarding this Privacy Notice should be sent to our Privacy Office at privacy@jci.com.

1. Personal information that may be collected from you:

The following information may be collected and processed in connection with your use of the App:

• Information you submit or provide: This includes information that you submit or provide when (a) registering to use the App, (b) adding details to your account or profile, (c) using the App’s features and functionality, (d) uploading or sharing any information through the App, or (e) reporting a problem with the App. This information may include:
• First and last name
• Email address and other contact details (e.g. work phone number)
• User phone number
• Username
• Base Location
• Business Unit
• Photograph
• Visitors first and last name
• Visitors email address and other contact details (e.g. work phone number)
• Visitors Government ID (e.g. Social Security Number)
• App generated data: This includes data that the App generates and provides to you only if you´ve enabled it within the App and provided explicit consent for its collection and processing:
• Step count
• Calories burned
• Device information: Information about the device you use to download the App may be collected, including, the device's unique device identifiers, operating system, mobile network information.
• Log Information: When you use the App, it may automatically collect the audit trail and exception logs.
• Location information: The App may use GPS and other similar technologies to collect the location of your device, where this is directly relevant to the features provided by the App. If you use any location-enabled functionality you will be asked to consent to the collection of location data.

2. Purposes of processing your personal information

Your personal information may be processed for the following purposes:

• In order to operate, maintain and provide you with the features and functionalities of the App (including any additional functionalities you may have requested).
• For system administration purposes.
  Where required by applicable law, the data controller will determine the lawful basis on which your personal information will be processed. In most cases this will be your consent or the controller or a third party’s legitimate interests.

3. Sharing personal information with third parties

Personal information collected via the App may be shared with other group companies and other products of Johnson Controls and third parties. Where personal information is shared with these entities, the recipients will be under an obligation to provide the same or equal protection of your personal information as outlined in this Privacy Notice. The third parties and subsidiaries mentioned above may be located throughout the world and your information may be sent to countries which have different privacy protection standards. In such cases, steps will be taken to ensure that your personal information is appropriately protected.

4. How long will your personal information be stored?

The personal information that you provide is retained for only as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. After this period the personal information will be deleted or in some cases anonymized.

5. Your Rights and access to information

Where your personal information is processed on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw your consent by using the contact details included at the beginning of this Privacy Notice You can also delete certain personal information collected via the App by contacting to the Johnson Controls.
