Supplier Assessment CriteriaSUPPLIER ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Johnson Controls conducts a supplier operational assessment of the capabilities of its suppliers to verify that they exercise a suitable level of systems and process controls to ensure that the product and services supplied meet the stated requirements. So as to standardize the evaluation across all of our suppliers, a set of scoring and criteria have been established whereby the methods of control can be measured. The supplier operational assessment is considered a Johnson Controls proprietary tool, therefore it is not publicly available on Johnson Controls external website. However, examples of the supplier business areas that are assessed, include the following:
- Quality Management Systems
- Engineering Systems
- Materials
- Sustainability
EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment
As an alternative to the supplier sustainability rating survey, Johnson Controls has chosen EcoVadis, a global sustainability rating company based on international standards, to conduct individual sustainability performance assessments of our supply chain partners. EcoVadis assessments scores can be substituted for sustainability ratings in the supplier scorecard. EcoVadis will equip you with the tools and understanding to actively participate in our supply chain sustainability activities.
