Innovation Takes Center Stage at the 11th Annual Johnson Controls Tech Challenge

The Johnson Controls Tech Challenge, now in its 11th year, celebrates the creativity and innovation of the company’s global workforce while honoring the 140-year legacy of founder Warren Johnson. Open to all employees, the event serves as a platform for grassroots ideas and customer-driven innovations aimed at creating sustainable, healthy, and safe environments.

This year’s competition united over 2,000 employees from 30 countries, showcasing more than 600 groundbreaking ideas, including several new patents and customer-facing solutions.

The Tech Challenge features two main competitions: Tech Innovations and Techathon. In Tech Innovations, teams present working prototypes of customer-driven innovations, product ideas, or process improvements. The Techathon, a hackathon-style event, saw over 150 teams from across all regions tackling real-world customer problems.

Congratulations to the winners: Zeal Patel, Chiragkumar Patel, Ronak Patel, and Susheel Copra for Tech Innovations, and Narendra Jagtap, Ewin Melwin, Priyanka Chavan, Chinmay K., Naveen Patil, Kimberly Demoore, Amarin Youthong, Ellen Taylor, Rishi Dabhi, and Dong Yiu Wu for Techathon.
