Local college students visit Johnson Controls Advanced Development and Engineering Center
Through its program, Johnson Controls is on track to donate up to $15 million by the end of 2026 to expand access to educational programs in the HVAC, fire, security and digital disciplines.
As part of Johnson Controls’ Community College Partnership, an ongoing program designed to provide hands-on learning experiences and foster future talent in the fields of engineering and technology, the company recently hosted students and faculty from Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) and Pennsylvania College of Technology at its Johnson Controls Advanced Development and Engineering Center (JADEC).
The tour was led by Joesph Emrich, Portfolio Leader, HVAC Mech Solutions, Johnson Controls and included more than 25 students studying related fields.
“We believe that collaborations like this are crucial for nurturing the next generation of engineers and technologists,” said Emrich. “By providing students with real-world experiences and exposure to cutting-edge technologies, we are helping to prepare them for successful careers in the industry.”
“This visit really opened my eyes to some new career possibilities that I am excited to explore.”
