In its survey of thermal management providers for data centers, ABI Research ranked Johnson Controls first in implementation with a score of 81.5 and second in innovation with a score of 78.0. Overall, we had a score of 79.8, making us one of two companies to be named a leader in the field.

How ABI calculates the award
ABI gives each company a score for implementation and innovation based on criteria that includes:
- Implementation: commercial success and market share, geographical reach, deployment, operation and maintenance support, allied products and services, partnerships and case studies, operations time to value
- Innovation: thermal management technology, reliability, resilience and data center optimization, interoperability with other platforms, platform features, end of life
These are used to calculate an average ‘overall’ score. Only those who score more than 75 are awarded ‘Leader’ status.
