How ABI calculates the award

ABI gives each company a score for implementation and innovation based on criteria that includes:

  • Implementation: commercial success and market share, geographical reach, deployment, operation and maintenance support, allied products and services, partnerships and case studies, operations time to value
  • Innovation: thermal management technology, reliability, resilience and data center optimization, interoperability with other platforms, platform features, end of life


These are used to calculate an average ‘overall’ score. Only those who score more than 75 are awarded ‘Leader’ status.
